Will 1977 engine fit in my 1979 frame?

I have a 1977 motor that needs some work before its ready to bolt in but I want to make sure that it'll fit in my 1979 frame without have to re-build everything else. I don't want to rebuild this motor if it won't fit. Will it fit or should I get the exact year motor as my frame?

No sohc motors are completely different from the dohc motor
