Help! Need veteran CB 750 owner advice

Hey guys I'm new to this forum and was looking for some experienced owner advice.
I'm looking at buying my first cb750 for a project build. I recently came upon this one on craigslist and wanted to know what you guys thought.

I know my way around a motor and a wrench but by no means would call myself an expert. I want a good project bike but don't want to be getting myself into a money pit. Was just wondering if this seems like a good deal or to stay away.

Were you aware that this bike is a Hondamatic? I guess that's ok if that's what you are really looking for, but I don't think the automatic bikes really have much value, most people don't want them. Also, I'm not sure about this but would guess they could be hard to get parts for as they wern't a popular bike. His price seems very high for a non-running bike.
