Hello everyone, I'm working on a dohc engine, everything is turning out real good, I've replaced all the bearings all ball bearings in the engine and gearbox but now I discovered one thing. After installing the camshaft a I found a part on my desk that should have been installed way back. The thing that keeps the trans chain oiled. It's a small pipe with holes in it that feeds oil to the chain between the crank and the gearbox. My question is: can I turn the engine upside down and take the lower crankcase off without removing the head and cylinders?
Any help appreciated.

X2 but alternator rotor MUST come off to do it if a 750 or 900, the 1100 has a narrower rotor and don't have to there. MUCH easier to remove it BEFORE cases get split.
