Carb vent question

Hi, quick question. Where does the carb vent hose go to on a 79 CB 750?

I’m running a standard air box and carbs.

I have it facing upwards but not connected to anything. I know it’s the centre rubber tube that connects to the T in the centre of the carb bank. Is it just an open vent?

It just lays over the air box and goes nowhere. That bracket on the top of the air box that holds the air box forward and aft has a U shaped holder on the right side to keep the hose in place. AKA "the hose to nowhere".

Hi CB750 Addict!
I have the same question about the vent tube on B52A carbs. I see you have been told that it just sits there over the air box.
Is it open ended or does it have something fitted in the end?
If were to be plugged up would it effect the running of the bike. For example running rich.

don't block it up do as above it goes over the air box towards the battery and has a place for it to sit in

Ok Thanks a lot. Mine has been blocked up and I think it has an effect on the running of the engine?
