    78 cb750f pods

I would like to put pods on my bike. I currently have stock main jets on the carbs (115) what size main jet should I get? I also have (38) slow jet size. And, should I get a shim for the slide needle? If yes, than what size shim? Thanks.

Carb float bowl drain hose replacement

Can someone tell me what hose to get for the bowl drains? I don't know which ones will be fuel/heat safe. I've seen one post talking about windshield washer hose and another saying to use clear to check levels easy. Any input appreciated. Thanks in advance! Vb42a - 1980 cb750c

    1978 750K

Hi, Has anyone got a complets airbox set-up for my 78' 750k. Mine came with pod filters on it and I am just about to rebuild them, I have heard many horror stories about trying to get these carbs to run with pods.

    Stuck float and needle

I just recently started working on a 1976 CB750F and in the process of cleaning the carbs I found a large amount of difficulty in removing the float bowl. After about an hours worth of work I got all four float bowls off and found myself looking at some of the dirtiest carbs I've worked on so...

    Jetting 1974 CB750 with 4 into 1 and/or Stacks

I'm naively trying to create a post that will be part resource for those needing to properly jet the K4 or relative for 4-into-1 and/or stacks. Before my head is ripped off, I'm not pushing for pods although success stories (no dead-zones, tuning nightmares, etc.) with pods + 4-1 are welcome...

    won't stay idling

I need a bit of advice. I have a 78 cb750f (supersport). I recently rebuilt my carbs, and now the bike won't idle. I'm not sure where to look first. I have the air mixture screws backed out 1.5 turns. The idle screw adjustment stop doesn't seem to do anything. Thoughts?

"New" bike owner looking for guidance on my CB750

Hey guys! I recently picked up a non-running 1982 CB750c that was someone's cafe project. The wiring job on the bike was garbage so I completely stripped it and got everything reran using the typical minimal wiring diagrams. I replaced the plugs, and last night the bike would fire up at full...

    Which carb kit?

Should this carb be replaced? Slider groove tab is gone.

Planning a rebuild soon and i know that in one of the carbs, the sleeve tab is gone. I assume someone either did not match the slider groove with the tab or tried to spin the slider while inside the carb and the tab got broken off. Can this potentially cause a problem? I think highly unlikely...

    1972 750 k2 Carb problem

Hey guys I have a '72 750 k2, I love it. Last year at the end of summer I noticed if i let the bike sit after riding, I would come out to a puddle of gas underneath her. I can't find a leak anywhere. I can ride all day and nothing... until She sits all night. The #4 carb is pretty corroded, I'm...

What is in my gas tank?

Just as the title says. At first I thought it was all rust. Seeing as I had gas seeping out the bottom of both bottom "lips" from what turned out to be pinholes when I stripped it to metal. So, I let the tank soak in Metal Rescue a few days rotating as I went. The MR came out looking okay with a...

    Carb adjustments? 1979 DOHC

I have searched the internet to find a nice diagram of where the adjustment screws are on these carbs and I haven't found anything great. Also, I was born in '85 and while I like carbureted engines, carbs are just before my time and no one has really shown me how to adjust them properly. My '79...

    Ready to scrap these carbs,

I can't get these carbs to stop leaking. Before you write about cleaning, and adjusting, and measuring, I've done 'em all. Twice. Wet test, aftermarket floats with bendable tabs, and different float needles(stoppers), (original floats were not adjustable and they were causing leakage then)...

Forgot the mapping of throttle cables (wiring)

'82 CB750F here. I took apart my carbs and totally forgot which cable goes where... there's 3 and I have an idea but don't want to screw the process up. No pictures atm, but can anybody point me somewhere to a manual or an alternate guide? I've skimmed the forums a bit and looked through the...

    Felt Washers

After soaking my carbs in cleaner and rinsing them off, I noticed the felt washer came out of the butterfly linkage. Now what do I do? Will the missing washer cause an air leak? According to the carb cleaning manual I downloaded off this site, you can't buy them, you must make them. is this true?

    Cleaning carbs with lemon juice.

Has anybody tried cleaning their carbs by boiling them in lemon juice? I thought I would try it, hoping that it wouldn't dull the finish like traditional carb dip does. Well, they come out looking the same, plus some of the grease and grim build up on the exterior of the bodies was still there...

    Gas Leak/ Smoke

Hey guys so my 79 has a real tiny gas leak. Pretty sure it's from one of the carbs, but not 100%. Any tips as to where it is and how to fix it? Also, recently, my bike has had some smoke coming from around where the exhaust meets the engine. Does that happen when there isn't enough lubrication...

Hello fellow Cb owners. I'm having issues. This thing sat for 5+ years before i rescued her in a pasture uncovered with just a rag in the exhaust and tape over the carbs intake. CB750 Warm Idle Problem

I have a 1977 CB750 that I just finished converting into a cafe bike. I took it to a shop to have the carb work done. For the first few weeks I had zero issues.
