Is there a known discrepancy in the service manual(s) for valve spring lengths? The manual lists a specification of 1.60” and a wear limit of 1.57” for the inner spring (un-compressed length). Most of mine were at 1.57” or below so I bought an APE racing valve spring kit from 4into1, only to realize they also measure around 1.57”. Any thoughts? Does the un-compressed length not matter as much as the manual leads on? Thanks in advance!

Bike is a 1981 CB750K.

I’m an idiot, so I’ll answer my own question. The RACING springs are not meant to be used with the OEM cams. Makes sense. If only I would have thought that one through.
