valve spring replacement

having valve job done on an all original, stock 81 custom with 47,000 mi. considering replacing valve springs and having trouble finding OEM replacements.I haven't measured the original springs. I assume they would be tiered after 42 years. APE. VS900H heavy duty racing valve springs are an option.
I use the bike seasonally to cruse on the weekends and get me to work.
concerns:
will these springs work with a stock cam and valves?
will racing springs increased spring pressure and put undue wear on OEM cam shaft?
anyone with any experience and advice on the issue is greatly appreciated.

I am sure the APE springs are stiffer than stock but I'm sure you can use them. I would just contact APE and ask them....Jay is a pretty neat guy and Pat the sales guy is nice guy to chat with.

You should measure those original springs as compared to the service manual.

Used sets from lower-mileage bikes are usually a decent option.
