Not sure about the year of my bike

Just bought a 1971 or 1972 cb750. Engine serial and frame serial come up as 1972 but was registered as a 1971. So if I wanted to purchase a whole new wiring harness would it make a difference ? Comments and opinions welcome. Thanks in advance

If the serial numbers say 72 then that is the year of the bike when ordering parts regardless of the registration year.

these are the numbers off the bike. I submitted to a website and they came back with 1972. Ok I’m very literal so I now get what your saying. Thanks man.

Thanks for your reply. My 72 only has 4 gears. I’m guessing problems with the transmission any suggestions on a fix or a rebuild manual
