How to buy valve job parts

My mechanic says he can't buy parts for a valve job. Or a head. Or a used engine. For a 79 CB750F. Any suggestions please?

Has he (the mechanic) given you a list of parts?...
Some may not be available via Honda suppliers but many should be found via other sources..

What are the issues..bent valves/burnt valves??

Bent...timing chain slipped. I would probably need everything. Thanks for the suggestion. Any other sources anyone else knows about?

You might consider the Vince&Hyde cam chain tensioners and guides....better than stock and easy to fit with head off.....
