Does anyone know the thread pitch on the M8 bolts for the lower crankcase? Appears to be 1.25 but I just wanted to check with those that may have more sophisticated ways of confirming.
Bolt finder at a hardware store is a solid way. 1.25 is standard pitch for M8 threads.
The "more sophistocated way" that is fairly cheap to keep in your toolbox is a thread pitch gauge. Little leaves fold out of the gauge with specific tooth pitches and you find the one that matches perfectly. I have yet to meet an M8 thread on a Japanese motorcycle that wasn't 1.25 -- but the fact that I've said that means someone will inevitably comment about one that exists.
