Hello, first full disclosure, I don't know much about bikes. I may use incorrect terms so please don't come for me. I'm just a gf trying to help with a project. I also want to make sure I don't mess anything up. so my bf just bought a 1978 hondamatic cb750 and has NO PATIENCE lol I'm trying to get the saddlebags off for winter storage. I have noticed that it is connected to the top of the shock in one spot and the rear bike frame right under the seat. Will I have any issues or mess anything up if I just unscrew the bolts and remove the saddlebag frame etc.

These we are the pictures of the bike

Your bf needs to learn these bikes. He's in trouble if he can't figure this out.

With that said, as long as you don't remove the shocks from their mounts, you'll be fine unscrewing bolts.

He's working on it little by little, he's got a newer bike also but this one was nostalgic for him so that's what made him jump into this. He's always been more of a honda car guy and not as much the bikes. I really appreciate the info though! Thank you a ton 😁
