New exhaust cannot use old foot peg mount

Hey has any one run into this problem, installed a new exhaust system on my K1, but the new system covers the bolts for the rear passenger pegs. Has any one run into this problem and what did you do to get the rear pegs back on the bike. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
