Hi guys,
I'm new here so don't hate me for asking something that has been asked before
I have a 1976 Honda CB750 F1 with a charging problem. Last winter I installed a complete new wiring harness.
She fired up great but after ± 100km it drained the battery.
The things I checked:
- stator coils al 0.8Ohm
- stator coils make no contact to ground
- rectifier diodes are ok
- field coil 7.8Ohm (between the white and green wire)
Are there extra things I can check?
If I look at the wiring scheme the green wire of the field coil is grounded directly. This is not the case for me, it goes up to the spool and makes no contact with the housing. Is this normal?
Thanks for helping me out guys!
