1969 crankcase on a 1974 engine

I note the use of the words 'a crankcase' there. It must be both halves the upper and lower are matched sets, you cannot mix and match a lower with an upper of another.

Yes, most everything unless it's a sandcast. But if it's a true 69 it may be worth selling or trading for a 73 crankcase, unless you have a 69 bike then it's worth finding a 69 top end. What are the engine numbers? I'm going to drive 3 states for a 69 motor to restore my K0. Mamilla is too far. lol.

A true 69 may be missing the center head bolt but I think it only goes into the cylinder not the block, a sandcast block only has 9 clutch cover bolts, After Engine 1007414 they went to 10. I think everything else fits. I took a sandcast crankcase out of a 75 frame, it had the 75 cylinders and head on it. It also has a 10 bolt cover on a 9 bolt block, it works OK, just looks odd.
