Side stand/kick stand

Hi all, I’m rebuilding my 79 CB750 and I’ve just put the engine back in the frame and tested the side stand.

It seems to me to stand too straight rather than leaning at an angle.

Anyone else have experience of this? Can anyone show me a picture of the side stand down to make sure I put it all back the right way??!!

Original rear shocks with a GSXR front end forks conversion.

If the bike is now lower in the front, then your bike will not lean over far at all.

Of course, might need to work on the kickstand.

Cheers, looking at the side stand. Maybe split it and weld?

Yes it is easy to shorten one if you have a welder.

I ended up chopping the side stand up and taking out a few mm. just need to paint/powder coat it.
