First sentence already answered.
Anything past second sentence is unanswerable. At least by me, I deal in logic and physical rules and I guess at pretty much nothing. I for one cannot understand my last paragragh for you.........................all I can do is tell you. You are asking for answers based on unobservable parts and practices, ergo, any answers will have no basis in reality.
This thread is like your other on same subject, You alone know what you are wanting to do there, the thinking must come from you. Guess what? When doing something never done then you ALWAYS have to come up with your OWN solutions. 'Cleaner and a little more polished' says stock parts modded by you (best) or others modded by you from a front or rear set. 'Less modification'? That's the OEM set if talking the least amount of work, one either gets that or they don't. These bikes never got the worthless (my opinion ONLY!) goldplated OEM-replacing modded 'trick' parts as sold by Kuryakin and others to do the exact same as an OEM part while sucking the owner's blood dry doing it.
Anything that was intended as a front or rear position then by definition should NOT work in the middle. If they did then middle position parts would work forward or rearward. Your answer. Didn't help you did it? Don't ask the question, look at the parts. If brain working it should be clear enough by doing that if doable or not, if not, then you don't have the skills to do it anyway.
Not trying to be mean or insult at all but it is what it is. We make life easy................or hard. Modding requires a certain amount of good solid INDEPENDENT thinking to end up in a good place, not having that one can dream all they want, it's only dream though. Reality is somewhat...........different.
