    Wanted - 78 K Oil Tank WANTED!!

I am looking for a 78K oil tank, no rust inside, I can deal with painting the outside. If anyone has a decent shape one that will fit my 78k frame I'd be so happy, need to be able to ship to Ontario Canada. Thanks guys. I know there's a lot on ebay but looking here first.

74k carb rebuild , my choke ok?

I am just wondering if this less then perfect choke adjustment is ok, when I close the choke lever all carbs except number 3 there as you can see does not close ALL the way. I adjusted both sides with the screw linkages and this was the best position I could get. Should be ok I would think?

machine shop says cycle x 850 kit is to big for factory sleeves???

This is a specialty motorcycle shop, he does all makes and models and machining, so he has seen a thing or two. Unfortunately being in Ontario Canada it's not so convenient for me to ship things to cycle x. He is going ahead with it and I told him the clearance should be 1.5 thou . He did...

machine shop says cycle x 850 kit is to big for factory sleeves???

I have a cycle x 850 kit, 65.5mm right? My bike already has been bored to 65mm (836 kit) the guy from the shop called and said there would only be 40though left on the wall, he said hes never went less then 60though and he said it would be hard to hone once it's that thin. Isn't the cycle x kit...

    headlight gounding nuts?

Hey guy's my bike is about to go back together and these headlight nut/wires had some sort of rubber or calking around them, it may have just been to absorb headlight vibration from the headlight bracket? or do they need to be insulated and that is why the rubber was on there? I cleaned them all...

top end rebuild! need some parts and knowledge ..

ON SECOND THOUGHT, i saw the cycle x 850 kit, all I need is the shop to bore my existing cylinder the .5mm extra, dam I think thats a far better Idea for 250USD then 300 CDN for the 836 kit on ebay. The thing is, i am not going to change the cam. Is it not a good idea to run the factory cam...

top end rebuild! need some parts and knowledge ..

great, I think the plan is to order another 65mm 836 kit off ebay. The quick reading the honda shop guy took from my bore was just under 65mm as he said so my buddy thinks it is worth the chance to order another 836 kit. I have my other 78 motor so I will just use that cylinder and get it...

top end rebuild! need some parts and knowledge ..

I just might as well.. OK so new topic here, I have discovered my poorly built engine has an 836cc 65.00MM bore kit installed. Pistons are pooched. Can I get a 65.25mm bore kit or will another 65mm kit do?? The cylinder walls are not damaged, even the honda shop said they are good, but they...

Yep as you can see here I cleaned everything up today :) You are right, I do not have the orifices!!! Now what to do..... Questions 1- will my 1978 engine have the same orifices that I could put in this 74 motor? Question 2 - How do I remove the broken post rod shown here?

top end rebuild! need some parts and knowledge ..

I checked the cam towers right away , it was definitely not anywhere. What are the orifices? The coin sized rubber caps? I did remove those yes

top end rebuild! need some parts and knowledge ..

I have started to tear apart my 1974K . I was missing one of these hollow dowels! Someone was definitely into this engine before but the bike was running for quite some time like this. I thought maybe I dropped it down the cam chain hole but my dad assured me he did not see anything drop. I...

    Will 1978 750k engine fit in 1976 750f frame?

great info! I shouldn't need to take out that bearing anyhow, they all seem fine. So the end of my story for now is that I have removed both sprocket carriers, I have a new sprocket as well. Chain alignment should be good however any tips on which swingarm I should use? Not sure if I may also...

    Will 1978 750k engine fit in 1976 750f frame?

THANKS! I was able to remove it after your instruction, just banged it with a rubber mallet and wiggled it. So what are these 4 holes for anyways? I read another thread where a guy was saying you had to get a pin wrench or make a tool to unscrew this and it is a reverse thread apparently...
