Steel braided brake line

In the image of the two lines the longest has a silver piece on one end. Does a banjo bolt thread into it? If it does there is your answer. Connect the shorter line to it.
The original routing looks funky to me me but checking some diagrams it is correct.
This is for a 79 F.
