Does anyone have difficulty removing theirs from the crank? Bike is 1979 DOHC.
I needed a pullers to get mine off, splines looked to be OK though.

Also does anyone have a picture or link to the locating dowel for the mechanical advance unit?
Mine appears to be a filed square nail to fit in the crank and I'm thinking that this may have caused some damage to the crank splines that I hope I can dress out.
It has certainly started to chew the mech advance unit.

Mostly caused by people turning the engine using that side, not supposed to do that. Yes, it's a crock working on timings when turning the OTHER side of engine but what you must do to avoid shearing that assembly loose to wallow the pin. People do it all the time.
