I just got a 92 CB750 and need to replace the handlebar as there is some rust on it. While doing so I thought about replacing both side controllers (starter, kill switch, turn signal, high beam) as they're quite worn. Do I need to disconnect the cables (Choke, throttle, etc) all the way down to the engine, or can the controls be replaced leaving the cables attached to their respective engine parts.
