Dear CB750 experts,

Got myself in a rather irritating position.
After completely rebuilding my engine, my honda CB750 F2 SOHC from 1978 was running like a charm. Then came the aesthetics, was working fine and all. But then disaster struck.

I was trying to redo my electrics. Everything was going well. Then at one point... I was tweaking the head light switches. Then I got a short circuit. The main fuse (15AMP) blew. No problem you would think. So I disconnected whatever I did myself, replaced the fuse. And turned the ignition key. Bam, the fuse blew again, and again. So the system is still making some kind of short circuit but I can not find it. I disconnected as many of connectors until I found the wire that gave the problems. I attached a picture. If I read the electrical wireing diagram it is supposed to be the one that connects to the magnetic ignition switch.
- can someone give me a hint what to do?
- how do I find out if some component is fried?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Pepper662

The solution

Dear experts,

I couldn't wait for an answer so I continued deducing. Found the answer. The indicator relay was fried. So I disconnected it, ordered a new one and it worked like a charm.

Thanks anyway!
