a tip on blowing main fuse on 1977-78 Honda cb750k

A while back my Honda 750 stranded me about a mile from my house. So the first thing I did was try to determine if I had a Elec. problem or a mechanical, and it had a blown main 15 amp fuse on the main harness. I must had done everything I could and started to buy a main wiring harness when I thought how much they are. So I wanted to unplug some items that are powered by main harness. There are few items that are powered by main harness, including the power for engine. So while started unplugging I unplugged the Horn and found that it would not blow fuse. So this should be the first thing that is checked before sinking a lot of hours searching and testing for shorts. I found a new Horn and saved a lot of bucks, I hope this thread will help those that run into this problem.
