I recently bought a 1978 (5/77 mfg date) CB750K. It needs the usual everything torn apart and renewing typical of a 34 year old motorcycle.

The good news is:
The chrome looks good under all that crud,
It looks like most of the bike is complete minus an airbox and mufflers,
Tank is very clean inside.

The ugly:
No mufflers,
No airbox,
Carbs have been disassembled somewhere along the line and reassembled incorrectly,
Paint and seat are fubar.

So begins yet another saga of learning about these bikes and figuring out what it needs to become road worthy and dependable. My plan was originally to chop and drop it for my 5'4" wife but closer inspection of the thing has me wanting to get it running well and repaint/reupholster/polish the thing back to looking nice and keeping it original with just the typical intake, rejet and header upgrades.

Here she is in her $200, just arrived home state of being:

Let me know what you think. Any and all ideas or comments welcome.

I have seen worse! Looks like a good starting point for a build. Most of it is there it would be fairly easy to put it back close to original.
