I would never swap sohc for dohc carbs. The dohc are a poor design.If you ever get them set right they will work but it a pain in the ass!!!!!

yea stock jets.I wonder if its the mufflers having little backpressure?

plugs plugs are black but not wet.No smoke,new air cleaner.complete carb kit, idles perfect.Has aftermarket mac turnout mufflers.Stock jets.Seems a little low on power.

I set the floats and re checked everything.Not sure what fixed it but it is running great now.3 times before i got it right.Sure wish i could run pods.The airbox is a bugger to get back on! Still seems a little rich.Should i maybe give it another half turn past stock on the air screw?

Im too embarrased to post this but....:doh: The air filter is really dirty.New one is on the way.Dont know why i never looked at it lol.I am getting older so i blame it on my aging brain.Its probably the culprit.New one should be here friday.I will update then.

Its on.I never tried to pull it.I read up and have seen all the trouble it causes on these.I posted in dohc garage for help too.Rubber plugs look good and arent dry either.

In great shape.Some very small imperfections that may polish out.I won this on ebay only to find it was for a 77 and mine is a 79 :wtf: Best offer or trade for one for a 79 I polished this a little and it is looking real good now.Has one scratch about an inch long

Put in a rebuild kit.Carbs were clean but i cleaned them anyway just to be sure.New float needles as one wasnt closing.Floats are floating and not saturated.Plugs are black but not wet.I rode it hard but didnt shut it off right away,i let it idle for a minute.Have stock airbox and aftermarket...

79 cb 750 k not running right just installed the new needle and no more leak but it runs like crap.Idles great.About mid rev it acts like its starving for fuel or something.I cleaned the carbs and put a kit in but they were so clean when i got the bike i probably didnt need to.Air screws are...

Those bars definately dont jive with some bike imo.They do however look good on some imo such as rat rod harleys. Didnt mean to hijack this thread , sorry. heres a little diagram that helped me.
