    for future readers the 8 AWG us cable is 8.5mm in EU but that size does not exist so the closest to that is 7 mm² or 10 mm². I found a website that self flexible battery cables and will pick the larger type for the bike! thanks.

    alright thank you so much 8.5mm metric it is. I saw a hifi cable that allows spikes of up to 50 amps which was 7.5mm. I think the main fuse for the bike was only 30A so figured that culd be fine as well, but thanks for sharing this! I'll buy some spares for in the future so that I can weld them...
