Just picked up a 1981 CB 750 custom and it has the intermittent starter engagement/grinding issue. I thought I would find the three bolts on the one way clutch to be loose, but they were tight. In fact, everything looks really good. I plan on rebuilding it, but wonder why it has the problem when all the components look just fine. Any thoughts?
