Santee oil tank questions

I have a santee frame withe a old oil tank that has 5/16 flair fitting and was wanting to know if the 5/16 would be large enough for the 74 cb 750 k motor.I would appreciate any info on this thanks.

Is the 5/16 you mention the ID?

My oil lines are 8 mm ID and 5/16 is 7.937 mm. I never had an issue with mine.. IF by the 5/16 you mean ID.

I think it is a 5/16 od flair i have 3/8 od fittings they are to big and i have 1/4 od flair fittings they are to small. It is definatly a mail flair fitting but i'm not positive that it is 5/16.

The inside diameter was 1/4 I have already changed it to a standard 3/8 od or 5/16 id . I think 5/16 id will probably be big enough ?

5/16 ID works on mine. No problems there.
