New battery, no nothing

Hello out there-
Got something strange going on-
My ‘78 Hondamatic 750 needed a new battery (wouldn’t turn over, lights dimmed, quiet horn, etc.)-
Installed new battery, no problem (started fine, bright lights, signals worked, loud horn, etc.)-
Started it about 3 times, no problem-
Let it idle for about 20-25min, turn the gas…..poof…shuts off, tried to re-start….nothing, no dash lights, no sound, no nothing-
Checked the battery, perfectly fine, all the wires seemed intact-
I just don’t know what happened-
Any suggestions??

The first item to check would be the main fuse - don't know why it may have decided to blow. That's an awful long time for it to be idling: it's actually draining the battery a bit while idling, so 25min on a new (likely not fully charged) battery
