Hey all, this is my first post so I appreciate any advice that helps. I have a 1980 cb750f that I'm doing a full cafe build on. I've been looking into different tail options and although I like a lot of options out there I'd love to try and use the stock rear tail and integrate it into my new build. I have seen it Done a few times but not exactly sure how others are going about it. It seems a little wide and I know there is a lot that needs to be done but figured I'd ask where best to start. Or maybe I should find a different one with a built in seat pan idk. Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks

At the end is a pic of what I'm going for

That rear hoop is definitely in the way, as your pucture shows. I would shorten that. I bet the rear piece is sheet metal, but you could probably do it with thermal plastic, too. I don't have experience with that plastic but I would like to try it once.
