just a touch of carb genious needed

you rock stabler!!! thanks for the help. I've gotten sidetracked on other more fun issues on this bike, carbs are no fun, what you have said makes sense to me for the most part. if I get stuck again I'll keep asking. this website is a way better source of knowledge than any service manual I have.

    But will they Work?

replace the diaphragm and gaskets for accelerator pump. they are cheap. better yet have someone professional and familiar with these old carbs rebuild them for you. I spent 100$ on parts and cleaned and scrubbed for weeks at a time and got no where. had them professionally done and poof all...

I fell in love with a money pit.

I changed the oil. it was really dirty but no cosmic sparkles and I'm assuming there's oil pressure cuz after a few days of letting it sit all the oil in the bladder leaks down to the pan but once started it comes back to the bladder. is that a good enough check or should I find a gauge and...

your shop looks quite spacious and insulated. I have to do all my projects out of my non insulated 2 car garage with my wife's car and kids crap everywhere. my friend has a nice place, where I do my bigger projects, but it's 30 min away and it's not my tools. it's shops like yours that makes it...

    '78 CB 750 SOHC - Idle and Rev-down issue

do you have the full range of motion of the throttle cable? aftermarket bars, sticky throttle cable, other peoples mods make me suspicious. but intake boots are a good suspect also. but sometimes simple things cause big head aches.

I have a 77k model I bought for 450$. was told the motor was rebuilt but hasn't run in god knows how long.
