Hello,
I'm collecting a pile of parts right now, about to do a café/brat and am new to CBs. I live in a hellish wasteland called Arizona and summer temps climb frequently to 116. I know damn well, even with an oil cooler, there's no riding in July here...not on an air-cooled 4 cyl motor. However, I want to make what difference I can. I looked on line and the only complete oil cooler kits I found were as much as $1100. I would rather just utilize the cooler off an old nighthawk. Anyone have any idea what I'm looking at compatibility wise? Is my understanding correct that basically, if I can put an adapter on the front and lead the line to a cooler, there will be enough oil pressure to pump the oil through and keep it cool? Know any less expensive cooler kits?
