Possible First Motorcycle?

Found a nice bike on my local craigslist and I wanted to see what you guys thought about the price and such for a beginner to motorcycles. I'd buy it with the motive of sowly converting it to a cafe racer style bike.

thats a high price for a bike with 50,000 mile bike i have a 1975 Honda CB 750 f SUPERSPORT that im restoreing with 5000 miles

For that it better be PERFECT, I paid 800 for my 82 about 8 yrs ago. Keep looking, they're a great bike, reliable with a couple exceptions, plenty of power, just go easy until you get use to her.

Mine will lift the front end and I weigh 240, so like I said, go easy, and PLEASE take an MSF course, my brother-in-law thought I was joking about that and wound up in a coma for a couple weeks 1st ride. Don't mean to turn you off to bikes, I'll ride 'til I die, almost have, once, when a bus pulled out in front of me, you have to have your head in the game , not up your butt.
