    81' DOHC Valve size general question CB750C

    Shim are in increments of .05mm or about .002" advised to set inlet and exhaust at .005", 0.127mm. shims are usually marked such as 295 300 305 increments of 5. I have come across several shims unmarked just have to measure these, hope this helps

    Anybody know the part name for this carb part? Broke one of the rubber gaskets while disassembling for ultrasonic cleaner.

    Mine all set at 1 3/4 turns out. Hope this helps. Regarding running rich or not pull the plugs and see what colour they are. Regarding throttle hanging but then dropping slowly I found that that was a vacuum leak, all the best, Rampton

    Installed double b plate managed to get an original from Holland started the bike and noise still there, pulled clutch lever and noise disappeared.     Synchronised carbs to number two @ 5cmhg and running fine, fitted new rubber boots airbox to carbs and carb to head, so think I answered my own question in the end.rampton

    Proud new owner of a ‘79 750K!

    First port of call before messing with carbs is compression test and valve clearances, if it's idleing at 1000rpm + - 100 the. Carbs will be pretty clean because the idle circuits are notorious for get blocked, bike looks mint. Best of luck rampton🇬🇧
