    CB750F SS, 1980

The bike was diagnosed with low compression today. Too low. I got 120 psi on the two outer cylinders and when I squirted oil in there and retested it went up dramatically, leads me to rings/cylinder compression. Really strange because the bike runs well. Doesn't burn oil, etc. It just has this...

    Ready to scrap these carbs,

I can't get these carbs to stop leaking. Before you write about cleaning, and adjusting, and measuring, I've done 'em all. Twice. Wet test, aftermarket floats with bendable tabs, and different float needles(stoppers), (original floats were not adjustable and they were causing leakage then)...

    Still not right! 80 CB750F

Originally had 68 pilot jets and 100 main jets. Got rid of the airbox and exhaust, (now 4-1) So, I went up to 70 on the pilot jets and 105 on the mains. There was some popping and it just wouldn't go after 1/2 throttle. So I went up in size. 80 on the pilots and 140 on the mains. Still not right...

Too lean or Too Rich, Who knows???

It's most likely too lean. Removed the airbox and put pods on. Oval chrome cheapos. Ok, Vance and Hines 4 into 1 header pipe with Carpy stainless exhaust tip and baffle (Carpy's, So. Cal exhaust fabricator and bike restorer. World famous locally) May as well be wide open. With the above...

What are your experiences with LED's on your bike. Hyper flash? Lights always on, no flash? Other strange reactions? And then, fixes! Flasher units and wiring fixes? '80 750F

    Carbs Overflowing, 1980 750F, VB42 carbs

Must've done something ass backwards because all four carbs are overflowing. Now I've put floats in upside down before and had to correct them, but these floats look like they're made to be fool proof. The floats are all plastic and have a groove that 'look' like they hold the float needle...

'80 CB 750 F SS has been in the garage since maybe 2005?

II'm finishing up an '82 Maxim 650. Made a hardtail out of it. Solo seat, etc. Waiting on some jets to arrive. Running lean. When the XJ is done, I'd like to get the Honda going. Last time I had it running I felt the clutch going out, and the timing chain sounded like it was slapping around...
