broken camshaft holder, leaking tachometer oil seal cb750 dohc

Thanks for the heads up. I actually just picked at it and used a pair of needle nose to get it out. As for the cam hold I'm just going to run it without the broken piece (small part). I think it will work fine without it and I don't want to run the risk of it falling off in the engine.

So I was attempting to replace the oil seal for the tachometer gear and I ened up breaking part of the camshaft holder. I was wondering if anyone else has use some type of high temp epoxy to hold engine parts together. I dont believe there is much force on the part that broke off and it is more...

Hi, guys im back with a few electrical questions. I got my 79 cb750 last fall, put a new battery in it and only got about 150 miles on it before winter came around. found broken in my engine???

hi guys, I need some help identifying what part this is. I pulled my motor to put new rings in it due to low compression on one side and pulled the cam cover off to find this laying there. I assume it is a cam chain guide or a tensioner. Also anyone have any laying around? Thanks, Mitch

So I started noticing a gas smell on my bike but didn’t think too much of it until I let it sit for a few weeks and came back and had almost no fuel in the tank. After some investigation I noticed that I had a leak between carbs 1 and 2 on the line that lets fuel flow between the two. I split...

no fuel to carb 4 on 79 cb750

I assume I will have to re-sync the carbs then? Is there a "best method" do doing this to avoid syncing them. I am just looking to get it running to see if anything else is wrong with it for now. If I have to sync them then ill do it I just don't have a tool to do that yet.

no fuel to carb 4 on 79 cb750

I've been struggling for a few weeks to get my cb750 up and running. Drove it around for a bit once I first got it running probably about 4 miles or so then my buddy rode it and it died on him. After pulling the plugs I found that cylinders 3 and 4 were starved for fuel. So I pulled the carbs...

    brat seat for 79 cb750

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and recently got into tinkering with old hondas. I recently picked up a 79 cb750 in decent condition (runs well) and am looking to strip it down a bit and put a brat seatt (i think that's what they are called), put some smaller signals on, bar swap ne headlight...
