Thanks this also explains why that linkage fell apart on one carb. It must have been already off or got knocked off when I took it apart. I don't remember it falling out when I took the top off but it must have.

I have had only the pull cable hooked up on my 1977 CB750F and it worked great that way. Today I put the carbs back on hopefully for the last time and hooked up the other cable. Now the throttle is extremely stiff. It worked fine when I 1st brought the bike home before I took the carbs off so...

REALLY No one has an old harness or a bike apart enough they can look at that plug that plugs into the switch & tell me which contact to hook the red wire to or better yet where each wire goes. I'm getting tired of buying parts not knowing how its going to run. I can't see buying a harness just...

Well thought for now I could save a couple bucks and buy a 4into2 Mac exhaust for my 77 CB750F. But evidently the frame is a little different from other models because the side stand will not clear. Price was right and it's brand new with megaphone mufflers but wont work so mabe price wasn't so...
