Some nimrod cut the plug off at the switch

Honestly shortly after I posted this I put the bike away in the shed for winter & forgot about it. Yes that would be a great help Thank you.

    Return Cable

Thanks this also explains why that linkage fell apart on one carb. It must have been already off or got knocked off when I took it apart. I don't remember it falling out when I took the top off but it must have.

    Return Cable

I have had only the pull cable hooked up on my 1977 CB750F and it worked great that way. Today I put the carbs back on hopefully for the last time and hooked up the other cable. Now the throttle is extremely stiff. It worked fine when I 1st brought the bike home before I took the carbs off so...

    Bores scopes/inspection cameras

Probably not. Havn't had much luck with anything that requires electricity from HF

    Bores scopes/inspection cameras

Thinking of getting one of these but there are many options. There are ones with screens and ones that plug into a laptop. Some actually have both options. Most say automotive but few say water proof. What about oil/ hot oil? . Some say color so I'm guessing the others are not. Please let me...

Changing oil filter and something isn't quite right.

Figured it out. It is some sort of aftermarket cooler. There is one on ebay

Changing oil filter and something isn't quite right.

Either the bolt unscrewed in the wrong spot or some one has added something or the F is different from the owners manual I down loaded. There is a block about 1/2-3/4 thick between the filter and the block. It was getting dark so I wasn't able to explore much but it looks factory. Looks like...

After 33 years in an actual barn CB750F comes to life

Bought this a couple weeks ago. It was literally in a barn the past 33 years. #2 carburetor was completely full to the top with powder from water. A long road ahead. Can't decide to go stock or mild custom/cafe. My video camera has a loud sound blocker that I can't figure out how to shut off...

    71 parts on a 76 Frame

I have decided not to use my frame on the altered 71. So I did find a bare frame for sale W out swing arm from a 1976 CB 750 K6. Im guessing it was a disk on the rear. Will my engine , forks/triple tree, and swing arm bolt to that frame? Remember I"m bulding a custom bobber so if they will...

Some nimrod cut the plug off at the switch

REALLY No one has an old harness or a bike apart enough they can look at that plug that plugs into the switch & tell me which contact to hook the red wire to or better yet where each wire goes. I'm getting tired of buying parts not knowing how its going to run. I can't see buying a harness just...

Some nimrod cut the plug off at the switch

That helps if you can tell which spade on the switch to hook the battery wire to I can figure the rest out with an ohm meter

    Obviously sumething ain't quite right

Well thought for now I could save a couple bucks and buy a 4into2 Mac exhaust for my 77 CB750F. But evidently the frame is a little different from other models because the side stand will not clear. Price was right and it's brand new with megaphone mufflers but wont work so mabe price wasn't so...

Some nimrod cut the plug off at the switch

The previous owner must have toasted the ignition switch and just wraped the wires together and put an on off switch near the battery. 1977 CB750F Super Sport. I have purchased a switch and plan to plug the wires in 1 at a time or find a plug at a parts store that will work. Can some one tell...

    Got another one

Tuning it should be the least of my worries. I have a good friend who has 20 years as a mechanic at a Honda Dealer and another 10 before that at a Kawasaki/Yamaha/Suzuki dealer. Will probably slowly try to find stock parts but haven't heard it run yet. Previous owner says he has more parts but...

    Will this work

I want a bobber but at my age a hard tail would be a little rough. On the other hand I probably won't ride on the highway much, mostly in town I will have any welding done by a pro. Not sure I can afford a weld on hard tail. Here is a picture of the Scout I got the idea from. Looking at it now...

    Will this work

1st I plan on removing all the Xed out portions and cleaning up the goober welds. The previous owner tuned this into a hard-tail retaining the swing arm. If I cut out a section roughly between the lines and weld in shock mounts will it work. This is kinda what they did with the new Indian...

    Got another one

Can't Find an affordable header But did find a new 4 into 2 aftermarket system that some one bought and sold their bike before using it. I would think it will work.

    Got another one

Went 57 years wanting but never owning a CB750 and now bought 2 in one week The one with cobbled frame is a 1971 and the Super Sport is a late 1977. It has been sitting since 1981 and the master cylinders are both stuck. Tank is clean inside. Sure wish I had the exhaust. Seller has most of the...

Title matches engine but not Frame 1971 CB 750

To bad the frame is butchered already or I would probably go stock and modify the other one so bobber it is. I was thinking there was a couple week things on these early bikes. Is that true and if so what were they? This one is supposed to be a fresh rebuild but after getting it home it looks...

Title matches engine but not Frame 1971 CB 750

As far as I can tell they are both 1971 numbers so that increases my chances greatly But Ive also located a 1978? CB 750F/with title

Title matches engine but not Frame 1971 CB 750

I called the Treasurers office today and they didn't seem to concerned. I about fell over. They said bring in the title and frame # and if things checked out they would transfer it into my name with a correction. I am going to see if I can figure out if the #'s both come from the same time...

Title matches engine but not Frame 1971 CB 750

Now I'm more confused. Because My tile matches my engine CB750E1046292 is on title & engine. This makes me feel a little better because maybe some one in an official capacity made a mistake and they will correct it when I transfer it. I know good luck right. Thanks

Title matches engine but not Frame 1971 CB 750

I bought a bike last night and like an idiot I took the guys word the #'s matched then got home and they don't:mad:. I read some where this is normal but I can't believe that is true. I called the guy and he insists As long as I have the title for the engine and a bill of sale for the frame I'm...
