well it has to go through an inspection. the bike was not stolen, but rather has been sitting since the early 80's before we switched our registration to computers up here in canada. i can put it back on the road but this inspection is pricy, and get worse if it does not pass. i bought this bike...
check oil pressure? remove both engine covers and look inside for metal. take off oil filter and inspect for metal, if you find any i would yard out the block and tear it down to little bits and see what is up.
its a 55w headlamp, its wayyyy brighter than a stock one. and the battery is pooched got to get a new one. going to try switching the head lamp and replacing the battery before i rip the charging system apart.
The way the fins are positioned mainly. Could have been modified but I don't know. If it has a big bore kit that cyl block must be different or machiened. Could be factory, hard to say.
well a few things it can be. choke stuck on? how are the boots on the carbs(cracks, splits or loose) ? clamps on all 4 carbs tight? when is the last time the carbs were cleaned/re sealed? a good tune up will do wonders! from what your saying it seems like a intake leak from a carb boot, or stuck...

i started a topic on the dual disc conversion here ----->...
*yes i realize this picture is set up with off make full floating rotors, however this should make no difference i have seen many pics with factory rotors as well*
well, i rode my cb750 k8 for the first time today, loved it! however braking performance is shit! i came from riding a zxr750h1 so i dont expect it to be that good, but this is garbage. I want to do a dual front disc conversion. Both fork legs have the same brackets and mounting holes. So my...
have you synced the carbs correctly? any other mods? pod filters, exhaust etc, if so have you jetted for these mods? checked your carb boot clamps are tight, good fuel flow and floats are not sticking?
