    Voltage WAY too high (17v)

Hi, I'm not getting 32V from the stator/rotor. I test it at around 16V before the rectifier. Also, what should the voltage be back to the field exciter coil from the regulator? I'm getting less than 1V across the white and green wires from the regulator and from the white wire to a ground...

    Let's see your CB750

Hi Members. Here's my '78 CB750K. I just got the carbs cleaned out and installed. I've been riding it around the apartment complex irritating the neighbors while I work on getting the title transferred to SC and new plate. I'd get pulled over on the old ones still on the bike, they were...

Carb clean & rebuild, Plastic double "D" washer - Where?

Hi, It's running! Runs really smooth. Took it out for a spin and it didn't miss or backfire. I'm surprised that the carbs were that gummed up but happy as heck I was able to clean them out. I'll post a pic in the "show your" bike thread. Maybe the wife will be willing to grace the seat...

Carb clean & rebuild, Plastic double "D" washer - Where?

Hi Sikopal, I think I figured it out!:) I think it goes between the right side of carb no.2 and the plastic washer/spacer around the left side of the throttle cable pully. There's a plastic disc on the left side of the throttle pulley that sits against the right side of carb no.2. The ears, on...

Hi Members, Here's a picture of the plastic double "D" shaped washer/spacer with the 2 ears sticking up from the surface. Any ideas where it goes? Maybe a good schematic that shows where it assembles? Thanks in advance, Jay.

Sparks all around point on 1-4 cylinder

Hi Dirtdigger, Thanks for the reply. I saw the electronic ignition replacements on the internet. I don't know of one I would trust since I lack the knowledge or experience of switching out points. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks, 750kjay

Sparks all around point on 1-4 cylinder

Hi, Newbie here. I'm sure some of you will be exasperated at my question. I bought a 1978 CB750K that has sat for about 2 years. The tags were last renewed in August of 2010. 1. I need to remove and clean carbs. 2. Replace air filter. 3. Replace spark plugs. The bike will idle but...
