I recently purchased a 1979 CB750K and along with the bike came the original exhaust (it has a Kerker 4-1 installed currently). I'd like to restore the bike to its original configuration. A couple problems to overcome:
It's a bit rusty, and I've only found a single shop willing to re-chrome it, for approx. $1,200. I'd have to remove the internal baffles as well.
A few questions for the group:
1. Can the baffles be removed, and can they be replaced?
2. I'm missing the hardware necessary to re-fit the original exhaust. Is it available?
3. Are there any re-furbished or re-manufactured alternatives to the original exhaust?
