Hi,
Building a cafe racer, need some help!
First of all apologies if this is a post repeated several different times across the forum, I just need some confirmation!
I'll keep it short...
Purchased a CB750 in bits,
Frame No. is CB750G...
Engine no. RC01E201...

I think the frame is 1977f2 supersport and engine is 1979 cb750k,

Is this correct?

Finally, and most importantly, will the engine fit and work in the frame?
Seen some mentions on different posts how it may not work, wanted to get a definitive answer.

Cheers!

Conor

Motor does not just bolt in, different frames there. DOHC uses a piece of frame rail that unbolts from the rest of frame to get the motor in.

Making a lot of unnecessary work there, you can find DOHC frames anywhere.

Ah alright then, cheers mate.

tbh the VIN on the crankcase looks to have been restamped, I'm thinking aftermarket part and tried to match it to previous model, buts its definitely not cast in.
Its definitely a SOHC engine. This is why i was so confused.

Cheers for your help!
