I finally got my 78 to start after changing the oil and cleaning the carbs (and properly hooking up the fuel line, I put it on the wrong inlet(?) on the carb). Only thing is it idles too high, like 4500-5000 RPM high. The rubber boots from the carbs to the engine are pretty cracked and I suspect an air leak right there. I've done some googling and only found boots from DOHC on ebay/amazon. I'm wondering if those boots fit earlier years of the bike, or if I should keep looking for my specific boots elsewhere. If they do fit, would I need to modify them at all (bending them?).
