Hello all! Been lurking for a while and recently bought a 1980 cb750c for $500. It didn't run when I bought it but I got it running decent pretty quickly. However, I noticed it was missing in the #2 cylinder. Set about checking compression and valves and here are the numbers. Sad
Compression: #1 120, #2 90, #3 120, #4 120
Valves: (#1) Ex: .002, .002 (#2) Ex: .003, .005 (#3) Ex:.002, .002
Int: .004, .003 Int: .002, .002 Int: .005, .004

(#4) Ex. .003, .002
Int. .005, .004

As you can see NOT what I wanted. Most of the valves are no where near .005! Guess what I'm asking is where to go from here? shim valves and see if I can get improvement? Or what i'm thinking is a top end rebuild is probably in order? Any advice on the next steps would be appreciated. Thanks! Oh, I'm working on the Picture thing!
