Good evening,
I purchased a 1992 750 Nighthawk in November and have started tearing into it this week. The bike had been sitting for about a year and a half. The carbs have a membrane on the piston as many of you are aware...well, two of them have big tears in them and the other ones feel kind of brittle. I did a price check and they're a whopping 120$ from honda, but that includes the piston.
I only need the membrane. Does anyone have a solution or suggestion on where to get just the membrane? At the cost of this, I'm tempted to buy a different set of carbs that will allow me to run pods on this bike..better investment in my mind. If I wanted to go this route, any suggestions on something I could adapt to this bike?
Plan to build a cafe racer for short rides. Have a whole bunch of parts on order and can't wait to spend some time with my boys working on this project.
