I have a 74 cb750 and wanted to know which direction when turning the air mix screw is lean and rich? My screw is on the airbox side.

on the earlier carbs,69/76 roundtops, there should be a screw in the side of each carb next to the rack, out is lean and in is rich. it is different on the keytops,77/78 carbs, the screws are at the bottom middle of the float bowls and work opposite to the earlier roundtops,,in is lean and out is rich. with no pics i am assuming this but you say your screw is on the airbox side, a single larger screw at the top? is so that is the idle adjustment.
