Hello Everyone. My name is Keith,.,I live about an hr North of Pittsburgh. I have 3 Motorcycles and just bought a 1981 Honda CB 750 4 K,.,I have been looking for this bike for awhile now,.,It will be a ground up restoration,.,And needing some parts as someone was trying to make a rat bike out of it,.,Anyway I was wondering when you take out the philips screws out of the mounting plates is there a trick to sliding them off the rails,.,? I am sure you PB blaster them good too.,And any help anyone can give me on any issues with this bike ,. Appreciate it too.

Thks Keith Gibson,.,:agree:

Carbs out yet? If not, that is first. I heat the isolators with a heat gun until just warm to the touch to make it easier on them and me to get the carbs out. I advise not starting until you obtain a #2 JIS screwdriver. Philips drivers will just ruin the screws. There is a wonderful instructional pdf on carb rebuild. I downloaded mine here: http://www.cb750c.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=13611
