I'm trying to change the on/off switch with the starter button on my son in laws 82 750C. We have a new switch that is a rocker switch on/off that we got from Dime City. The new switch is 6 wire and the original switch is 9 wire. I know nothing about electrics so I'm not sure what to do next. The wiring diagram for the new switch has 1. blue/white to starter 2. green/white - optional pass thru 3. red/black - run/kill 4. black - starter 5. brown -optional pass thru 6. red/white - run kill.
If I wire it like this and ignore the other 3 wires in the harness, what problems will I create?
