Forks have to go to dealer for disassembly?

Way back on 8-16-2014 raene asked the question whether his 82 cb750c forks had to go to the dealer for disassembly. The question was never answered so I'll ask it again. Clymer book says my 82 F forks have to go to the dealer for disassembly -- true? Or is there some other way? I drained the...

    Master Cylinder

I am trying to get the master cylinder reservoir off the base. It is the plastic one with the 4 screws to hold it in place. I removed the 4 screws and tried to pull it out. It will rotate quite freely but it refuses to come out. It looks like there is two rubber "O" rings or seals that is...

    1982 Honda CB750sc

On my 1982 CB750SC Nighthawk, the left front fork has an adjustment screw at the bottom, and no apparent fork oil drain screw (just one on the right fork). None of the manuals I can find show this config. Any idea what this adjuster is and how do you drain the left fork? Thanks.

    Help with front caliper

Just purchased a 1977 CB750k. It's in pretty good condition other than the fact it has been sitting man years. I've got it running pretty well but the front brake was not functional. Rather than chase the problem down part by part i replaced everything from the master to the hoses to the...

    CB750K1 Front end hop

I've been creeping for a while now and cant figure out what's causing my front end to hop between 30 and 55 mph. I just bought the bike 2 weeks ago. I noticed the hop on my second ride. About 35 mph it becomes noticeable. Its a very rhythmic bounce too, not constant through the whole ride but...

    Top Triple Clamp

I'm trying (and failing) to find a billet top clamp for my 1981 cb750k. I ordered one from Cognitomoto that was supposed to fit my bike (the listing was "CB750F 75-78 & CB750K 77-78, CB750K 81-82"), but the holes for the fork tubes weren't even close to lining up. After a few emails back and...

    Aftermarket rims?

Who has input regarding the quality of aftermarket chrome rims? The rear wheel on my 77 CB750K has a handful of broken spokes and the rest are rusted beyond refurbishment. The rim is ok but scratched and rusted in spots. Thinking of buying a new rim when replacing spokes. Any input is appreciated.

Fork rib and front fork boots

My 750 k1 doesn't have the rubber boots on the front forks. I want to replace them for the original look but have yet to figure out how the small ring (fork rib) secures at the top of the boot. What keeps it in place? The current rings on my bike were just held in place with electrical tape...
