    What's going on here?

I really need some help here. As you can see in the photo, my carburetor cable and linkage is obviously very misaligned. It's probably off by a good quarter inch or so. I see no way to correct it and I see no room for adjustment from side to side. Anyone have any ideas and thanks in advance.

    SOHC compression advice please...

Thanks Digger...so in your opinion, will it be ok? I should have mentioned that all I hoped to accomplish was a good running stock motor. I did some digging and found that I'm probably losing 17-18psi just from high altitude losses, which should put me around 147-148 psi at sea level. Also, I...

    SOHC compression advice please...

So I just completed a complete rebuild of my '75 SOHC. New pistons .050" over, good quality gaskets, Viton valve seals, stock cam. Head was professionally rebuilt and a reputable machine shop did the boring. Has 22psi oil pressure while cranking. I decided to compression test it just to be sure...

    SOHC timing....please help!!

Thanks Digger. I knew you would chime in at some point. Yes, at least I got cylinder #1 right. I kind of finally figured out what you are saying. So if the notch on the end of the camshaft is at 12 o'clock when cylinder 1 is at TDC, is it at 3 o'clock when #2 is at TDC, 6 o'clock for #3, and so...

My cafe project, and can someone help with a measurement?

Hello all and great forum. This is my '74 CB750 Cafe project. Started with a bare frame and a swingarm, that's it. Using a 2003 CBR600RR front end and some Cognito Moto bits. Haven't found a SOHC motor yet but I'm looking. Here's my problem- I've kind of hit a wall because I'm using a gas tank...

    Will a cb650 engine fit in a '74 cb750 frame?

Hello all. I acquired a nice '74 cb750 frame with title that I have been building into a cafe bike for about the last year now. I've found that CB750 SOHC motors have gotten SCARCE up in my neck of the woods. Does anyone know if the 79-82 CB650 engine can be made to work in my frame? I have a...
