DragonRider: I'm a big fan of lighting. The dragon head is Fn' killer. KILLER I say. Quite like the light on the sissybar too. For low-flying aircraft no doubt. Very nice. Is one headlight the high beam, or do they both work together. Would like to see a daytime side-view pic. Can tell that there are scales, want to see them better. :)
1 light is the highbeam( spotlight from cop car) and yes they both work together. I made the head out of fiberglass, cut the scales from sheet 1/16 metal and attached to fender. I also made the floor boards ( shape cut out at machine shop) and mounted them. The paint is mirage from Dupli-Color. This is actually the third look for this bike. I first assembled it in 1985 using the same frame and front end that is on it now.

Updates (for those who like these posts). New tach and speedo, indicators relocated (that was really fun to rewire, too), headlight lowered, valve cover painted after helicoiling one of the cam holders that stripped causing an oil leak, new seat.

Updates (for those who like these posts). New tach and speedo, indicators relocated (that was really fun to rewire, too), headlight lowered, valve cover painted after helicoiling one of the cam holders that stripped causing an oil leak, new seat.

I like it Brett. Beautiful machine. I used to assemble these bikes 50 years ago when there were motorcycle shops every 5 miles around here. I was able to run down to the piers in Seattle and personally pickup my bike in the crate and assemble it myself. With the Windjammer III and Calafia tour pack I had $2100 invested. It's a member of my family.

Nice! 50 years ago I wasnt breathing yet. I'm thinking about putting on a 4 into 2 via a Y adapter but the last time I tried taking mufflers off the rust was stronger than me.

I don't know about a "Y" adapter for the exhaust. I have a 4 into 2 muffler setup that I can't remember where I got it. Well made and looks good. The stock exhaust rotted away long ago. I never wanted to pay the prices for a OEM replacement. You look like your project is well under control. There's got to be a bunch of places to take care of any exhaust issues or component replacement vendors.

I could probably pay a muffler shop to put a 2 into 1 collector on each side, but if I can do it myself, I will. I know Mac made a 4 into 2 exhaust; it is about $100 more than the 4 into 1 dekelvic.
 
That's exactly the muffler brand that I have, Mac. I can't remember where I bought them from though. A long time ago. For some reason I even kept part of the box that the bike came in. Hanging on the wall in my shop. The company I worked for setup bikes for most of the many dealers around here at the time. My bike never saw the dealership floor. Kerker used to make the 4 into 1 setup but that was awhile back too. Some of these old 750 vendors I'm sure could set you up if you want to spend the money. I'm like you though, I'd rather try and do it myself. Happy trails.
 
Hi new here. First photo is my girlfriend in 1978 and the second is my wife 2023.She was with me when I bought it new and sold when we had to adult.Found a trashed out runner and built it back to the bike of my youth.

I picked this '78 up last Septemer off of BaT. Pretty far condition for 45 years old and runs damm good too. I bought this to keep me out of my E-Z chair and away from the boob tube. So far I have changed the headlight to a good LED, added a rear rack and changed the rear turn signals to dual filement bulbs....can't have too much light at night!

I also picked up a vintage Wixom Fairing for $25; lots of time reworking all the cracks and dings over the last couple of months. New glass coming for it, adding small LED aux lights where the turn signals normally go (again, never can't have too much light). Also adding USB port (with voltage gage), phone holder and replacing a few other small items that were missing. I still have a little more tuning to do but that's going to come after I change over to pointless ignition system.

That is nice. The auxiliary lights in the fairing is a nice touch.
 
The gold one is a 1970 CB-750 and the Red one is a 1969 Sandcast I also have a 1971- K1 with 5000 miles According to Vick World the K models did not begin until 1971 so the 1969 and 1970 are simply called CB-750s. When I bought the gold 750 it was seized from sitting and a machinist friend explained a procedure on how to remove the cylinder without damaging anything which I did and rebuilt the engine. The Sandcast had several wrong parts so I bought an original Candy Blue wrinkle tank, side covers, headlight bucket and horns and several other original Sandcast parts which cost me a fortune but now I have a nearly perfect Sandcast. My K1 with only 5000 original miles is stuck from sitting so I need to proceed with the magic cylinder removal my machinist friend taught me. I used the same procedure on a stuck 1975 Can-Am 250 TNT two stroke last year If I can find the time I will explain the procedure with pictures one day.

I bought a couple frames and a truck load of 750 parts from a former Honda street and drag racer. This is the first one I assembled from his parts and another drag bike I already had. It has a lot of RC eng. parts, 836 kit, ported head, 315 cam, Mikuni 29 smoothbores, an RC 4-1 pipe and a Gerex ignition. Lester mags with the 18x3 rear, radial tires, Lucas taillight, re-located rear fender and bobbed front. +2 1/2" longer swingarm.
